This is the time of year to start thinking about getting ahead of the garden chores. Spring will be upon us soon. Gardening businesses get very busy when most people start thinking about gardening.

Gardening in the Pacific Northwest western Washington State areas actually happen year round. In fact the real gardening season here starts when the leaves come down.

Now is the time to make sure the garden is cleaned up before all the bulbs come up. Many if not most started poking their heads out of the ground last fall. It is much easier to maintain a garden when before the bulbs show their greenery.

Winter is the time to weed, mulch and lime and and minerals to the lawn. A good natural winter slow release fertilizer will give your lawn an excellent head start.
